Comic updated!
This week, on Flaky Pastry... we're back!
Sorry about last week, I got a tiny bit lazy, nothing unusual, and then couldn't make up the difference because of various things that happened, for example an extra helping of D&D, being without internet for a day or two... and depressing US election results. I don't typically talk politics on here, or personal stuff, and I understand that's not everyone's jam, but I felt I needed to say something this time.
Now, I am male... white... straight... and Canadian. The privileged class, right? The US election results are not likely to touch me directly, and yet I found myself quite affected by them. If you read this comic at all, you must know that I totally support everyone's right to be who they are without fear of being judged, discriminated against, or otherwise attacked. At least, as long as they don't do those things onto others. I support diversity, openness and acceptance. I guess I thought... a bigger majority felt that way. Hang in there, readers in the US and elsewhere. I don't know most of you personally, but I know for a fact that you are all important. You are all special. You all deserve a place in the world. A safe place. You all deserve to be loved. You keep on being you. I'm just a lone, crazy artist, not quite a shut-in but close; I can't change the world, but I can keep making this dumb comic and filling it with love and laughter. And you bet I'm gonna do it.
