This week, on Flaky pastry... there's a comic page. I appreciate you reading it. But there's other stuff going on in the real world.

I'm just a nobody making a silly comic to entertain people. I try to avoid the real world as much as I can. But it's still there. It's still, no matter what, the only real world we have. I would love for everybody to have the luxury – the privilege – of ignoring it whenever it suits them, and/or to have whatever place they aspire to within it. I try to depict a world like that in my comic (though I could still do better). Unfortunately, that's not how the real world is. It should be, but it's not.

You've probably seen the news from the US, right? I don't live there, I live in Canada, but it's close enough. I'm not the right person to educate or lecture anyone. But what I'm trying to say is... Black Lives Matter. If you don't agree... I don't have any good words for you. If you do agree... good! Here seems like a good place to start helping.
